Meet Lotolelei, a passionate advocate for community-based fisheries management in Wallis and Futuna. Raised by the rhythm of the tides, she has spent much of her life immersed in the world of fishing, from gathering shells to spearfishing and trolling.
Though the path hasn’t always been easy, with some resistance to new conservation practices, Lotolelei is proud to present their first officially protected traditional marine area. Discover her inspiring story of dedication, perseverance, and hope for a sustainable future for Wallis and Futuna’s fisheries.
