Singaut Blo Solwara campaign

The Singaut Blo Solwara campaign is a grassroots initiative encouraging communities to come together through community dialogue with the goal of reviving traditional ways of managing the sea in New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea. The campaign is also sharing new research and information to support practical local actions for communities to manage their fishing grounds.

The campaign hosts a regular radio show produced by NBC, promotes local stories in media and on social media, produces short champion videos and supports community organising with local partners and community champions sharing the Singaut Blo Solwara information toolkit. The campaign message promotes the need to work together to revive fishing grounds and traditions so all communities can thrive. Yumi olegata i ken mekim wok! (We can all do the work).
